I’ll remember Mom for so many endearing qualities. Her love, empathy, & kindness. Her strong will and determination in everything she set out to do. Her curiosity about life and exploring all that it had to offer. She always knew the right words to say to help lift your spirits when you were having a bad day and was always there to provide encouragement when life presented challenges. There was no mistaking her unconditional love for her family.

My childhood was filled with great memories because of her love and thoughtfulness. Always making sure uniforms were ready to go for baseball games and track meets. Making sure holidays and birthdays were always filled with joy. Picking us up when we stumbled and beaming with pride when we succeeded. She also took great joy in just being silly. Sometimes it was calling us to the kitchen window while we were playing in the back yard only to spray us with water from the sink spray gun, or her tickle defense when playing basketball in the driveway, or randomly picking up a couch pillow and playfully throwing it at me while I was watching TV.

Even in recent years as her health was declining, she could find fun in blowing a drinking straw cover at Dad as they sat at a restaurant table or sticking out her tongue at the camera as we posed for family pictures.

We will all miss you so much Mom. You were and will always be our sunshine!

Sharon was like a mom to me ... when I lost my mom at age 6 she graciously stepped in and gave my dad a helping hand! She sewed many a costume for me without hesitation when I joined her girls in being a member of the Candettes Baton and Drum Corp. You have always held a special place in my heart and will stay there forever. I can never thank you enough for all you did for me! Tinker
