William Jasso, 84, peacefully entered the fullness of Eternal Life on July 17, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents, David and Josephine Jasso, and sisters, Juanita Wozniak and Esther Jasso. Adoring husband to Joyce Jasso (nee Braxler). Loving father of 6 children; Lisa (Scott) Kelley, Heidi Jasso (Robert Dantro) , Michelle Tomaich, Rachelle (Michael) Hoehnen, Barbara Flanders and James (Christine Bunchkowski) Jasso. Proud grandfather of 17 grandchildren; Kristina Michels, Brittany (Brandon) Pungarcher, Rissa Niemi, Mikayla Kelley, Kalene Jasso, Alexandra Kelley, David Tomaich, Joshua Tomaich, Taylor Tomaich, Keegan Sonsthagen, Kailee Sonsthagen, Jean-Luc Beaudoin, Liam Perotto, Ethan Perotto, Ella Hoehnen, Genevieve Hoehnen, Analee Hoehnen, and 2 great-children; Drake and Silas Doom. He is the eldest brother to Isabella Hernandez, Josephine Zuelzke, David (Deborah) Jasso, Benjamin (Maureen) Jasso, Daniel Jasso, Robert Jasso and Richard Jasso. Further survived by many other loving family members and friends.

Born on June 20th, 1936 and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, William graduated Milwaukee Boys Technical High School in 1954, and served in the United States Navy from 1958-1962 as a Naval Airdale, Aviation Electronic Technician at Naval Air Station Moffett Field in Mountain View, California. During Vietnam War he was responsible for maintenance of radio radar on F14/F15 fighter jets. William returned to Milwaukee, Wisconsin as an Industrial Welder and retired from City of Milwaukee Water Works as a Heavy Machinery Mechanic.

William was an amateur competitor in bowling and boxing, an avid fisherman, golfer, spiritual mentor and philosophical conversationalist. He was a lifelong sports fan- Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers, to name his favorites. He also attended St. Marcus Lutheran Church, Milwaukee for worship and bible study.

His family fondly remembers his sense of humor and “dad” jokes, his collection of hats, his beautiful singing voice, making handmade tortillas, crafting his own fishing poles, selling nightcrawlers, and his warm hugs and generous nature.

A Memorial Gathering at St. Marcus Lutheran Church, 2215 N Palmer St., Milwaukee, WI will be held on Saturday, August 1st . Visitation begins at 10am with Service at 11am. Limited seating at the church has been arranged according to COVID distancing recommendations, relatives will be seated first and others are welcome up to 150 people. A face mask is required for the visitation and the service.
