Virginia K. Thomas (Nee Kissell) of Greendale passed away Apr. 26, 2020, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late William Thomas. Dear mother to William (Yvonne) Thomas, Robert (Bernadine) Thomas, John (Cheryl) Thomas. Cherished aunt to the late Rick (Annie) Kissell, Maureen (Eric) Conley, Jim Gartman, Diane (George) Torres, and Dave (Lynn) Thomas. Special cousin to the late Shirley (Bob) Schrimpf. Loving grandmother of Andrew, Laura, Shaun, Morgan, Michael and Luke. Further survived by her great nieces and nephews Adam, Jeana, Christina, Jennifer, Rachel, Rene, Paul, and Lucas. Lifelong friend and sister to Eunice Zirbel.

Gini had a love for reading books. She took many trips to the Greendale library and spent time with friends in her book clubs. She acted in local plays, enjoyed watching movies, and playing and buying pianos. Gini participated in the Greendale TOPS Organization and had fun with friends putting together presentations about food and wellness. She also volunteered her time at the Bethesda Thrift Shop in Hales Corners and serving lunches to other seniors at the Franklin Senior Dining. Her life’s blessings were her family, her grandchildren, her late cousin Shirley for all the laughter they shared, and her best friend Eunice, with whom she shared many of life’s moments and thoughts with. Gini will be missed by all.

Gini’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff and friends at Harbour Village in Greendale, and the many doctors, nurses and caregivers that supported her.

A celebration of life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Greendale Library would be appreciated.
