Obituary for Scott P. Becker

Scott, age 69, passed into eternal life on January 6, 2023. The best and most loving husband of Jonelle for 36 years. Dear Dad of Alex and Gregory (Marisa). Dear brother of Gerald (Angela), uncle of Kevin (Stacy) Becker and great-uncle to Jonas and Sam Becker. Also survived by many cousins, friends, and former colleagues.

Scott earned a B.A. in political science from UWM and an M.B.A. from UW-Whitewater, where he met his wife Jonelle. Scott retired from Pentair in 2021, and previously worked for Milwaukee Electric Tool for 31 years. He was a faithful Lutheran all his life and was a member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church.

Scott was a political junkie, loved history, Bach, paleontology, and trivia, but most of all, his family. He was gentle, kind, smart, patient, and always curious about the world and its wonders. Scott even became a football fan (of sorts) so he could help Jonelle cheer on the Badgers and Packers, although in a much quieter voice than hers.

Scott’s family wishes to thank the MRICU staff at St. Luke’s Hospital for the compassionate and professional care Scott received from December 22-January 6. They not only took care of Scott, but also took care of his family.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, on Thursday, January 19. Visitation from 4-6 with service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, Hales Corners Lutheran Church, or Habitat for Humanity are appreciated.
