Obituary for Robert D. Travers
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Duane Travers, who passed on Easter morning, April 9th, 2023, at the age of 84.
He is survived by his three children, Mark (Michelle) Travers and their five children: Austin, Ashlyn, Aleah, Mason and Maiyah; Cheryl (Jim) Serketich and their four children: Luke, Logan, Sam and Will; and Grant Travers and his five children: Grant Jr., Sydney, Ethan, Mylee and Ellie. Also survived by his sister Darlene Travers.
He is predeceased by his parents Duane and Suzanna Travers.
Bob grew up in Milwaukee. He worked as an auto body shop painter for many years, and retired in 1996.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bob was an avid collector car enthusiast and sports fan. He loved working on classic muscle cars and restoring them. Some cars he sold, but he kept his three Buicks, a 1972 Buick GS convertible, 1972 Buick GS and a 1972 Buick GSX. He earned the nickname “Buick Bob.”
He loved car shows and good barbeque. He was an amazing cook and an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. Bob loved riding his Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and listening to live music, especially outdoors. Bob loved life and He appreciated his friends and family.
Robert’s passing is a great loss to his family, friends, and community.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
