Phyllis Rae Maki, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. She was born April 8th, 1935 to Alvin and Bernice Johanknecht. Phyllis worked in the Muskego Public Library as a Reference Librarian for many years. She enjoyed being a Sunday School Teacher at Calvary Bible Church, gardening in her yard, and walking along the Muskego Recreational Trail. She will be remembered for her warmth, her strong desire for learning, and her dedication to family.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard, her sons, Gary (Barb), and Bruce (Peggy), her grandchildren, Jacob Maki, Jason Maki, and Amber (nee Maki) Agacki, and Richard’s sibling, Patricia Bublotz (Ken). Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother Bernice, her father Alvin, and her sister Lynn.
A Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 PM with a service at 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, Wisconsin, with Pastor Will presiding.
