Patricia (Pat) Marie (nee Meicher) Kartheiser died peacefully on August 27, 2019, at the age of 83. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Leo F. Kartheiser. She leaves behind her children, Frank Kartheiser (Mary), Mary “Mikki” Mette (Stephen), Joseph Kartheiser, and Karen Kartheiser. Grandmother of Benjamin Kartheiser, Arthur Sobczak IV (Clara), Kaitlin Pisk (Steve) and the late Julia Kartheiser. Great grandmother to Arthur Sobczak V.

During her second year of college in Stevens Point, Pat went home to Madison to visit her family. Her sister Nina took her to a Newman Club St. Patrick’s Day party where she met a handsome young man named Leo. A year later on St. Patrick’s Day, he proposed and the day has forever after been a celebration of love in their family. In the 70’s, Pat returned to college at Mount Mary University to complete her degree in Home Economics.

Pat was known among her family & friends as an artist, an amazing cook who loved to entertain, and an avid bridge player. Her life with Leo included homes in Madison, WI; Souix City, IA; Saugerties, NY; Muskego, WI; Arlington Heights, IL; Boca Raton, FL and West Allis WI.

My Aunt Pat always reminded me of old Hollywood; grace, beauty and style. My husband Mike always refers to Aunt Pat As Lady in Red becsuse of how fabulous she looked in red I hope I still look at my husband with as much love beaming out of my face and eyes as she had for Leo, they were truly each other's love of a lifetime. We will certainly miss this kind and wonderful woman.
Leo, Karen, Frank, Mary, Mikki, Ben, and Joe we send you all our love and prayers at this sad time.
