Obituary

Windorski, Norman Richard, “Norm”
of West Allis, age 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, December 21st, 2019. Norman was born July 15th 1942 to Chester and Esther (Turzinski) Windorski in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Norman was a selfless and devoted father to his three sons and one daughter, Darryl (Laura) Windorski, Trent Windorski (Jackie), Tory (Ellen) Windorski, and Lea (Jeff) Stiggle, proud Grandfather to Shana, Eric, Amanda, Cody, Michael, Evan, Collin, Adam, Mitchem, and Eliana. Great Grandfather to Owen, Milo, Kayley, Grace, Oliver, Caleb, Molly, Willie, Carter, and Lydia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Ray Hintz, infant sister Marilyn, sister Gladys (Jimmy) Kluck, and brother Bruce (Sandra) Windorski. He is survived by his brother Melvin (Maryanne) Windorski, beloved Aunt Sister Carolita, nieces, nephews, and many other treasured relatives and friends.
Norm loved hanging out with his friends at George Webb Restaurant, his home away from home. All who knew him would say he was a kind man, always willing to lend a hand to family or a friend in need of a repair. There seemed to be nothing he could not fix or figure out.
Norm loved his sports, rarely missing a Nascar race on Sunday. His favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He would stay up late into the evening watching Brewer games, not wanting to miss the extra innings outcome. Most recently, you could hear him saying "Go Pack Go" or see him rooting for Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Most of all, his family was the most important thing to him. He provided them with a strong and loving foundation of faith in God. He will always be remembered as a wonderful father, father-in-law, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa who would sacrifice and give anything he had to all of them, always putting family first. Each child could tell countless stories of their father giving his time to them, being there for them, providing for them, and helping them out whenever they needed him. He was the same to his many grandchildren, as well as his dear friends. They all could share stories of his generosity. He was truly an amazing beacon of strength to all who knew him.
Not only was Norman kind... he was one of a kind! He led by example and set the bar high. He will be truly missed by all but will be forever in all our hearts.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 6th, 2020 at 2:30pm with visitation from 1:00 - 2:30 pm at St. Aloysius Church, 1405 S. 92nd St., West Allis, WI 53214. Family and Friends are invited to a celebration of his life at Meyer’s Restaurant, 4260 S 76th St, Greenfield, WI 53220 immediately following the church service.
Norman was a proud veteran of the US Army, stationed in both Germany and Italy. The family would like to send our sincerest appreciation to all the nurses and doctors, especially those on the 4th floor, that cared for our father at the Clement J. Zablocki Milwaukee VA Medical Center. Words cannot express how truly caring and special we feel all of you are

My grandpa was the greatest man I've ever known. Without his love and guidance and support I never would've made it this far. I have so many loving, treasured memories of him and I together. He will always and forever be in my heart. Love you G-Pa
