Obituary for Nancy Feely (Clark)

Feely, Nancy “Grams”

passed away peacefully surrounded by her three adoring children on January 6, 2020. Nancy was born on Februrary 12, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Claude and Queen Esther Clark (Hafert). She married Peter H. Feely in 1959 and raised three children and five grandchildren. Nancy was a devoted and caring mother to Karen Steele (John), David Feely and Linda Nerad (Steve). She lived for her grandchildren Todd Steele, Jenna and Parker Feely, Tyler (Jamie) and Travis Nerad who were the blessings and joys of her life. She is also survived by her sister Marge, sister-in-law Terry, many nieces and nephews and friends. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Pete, cherished grandson Chad, sisters Maxine and Joyce and brother Jack. She enjoyed golf, bowling, crafting, cooking, baking, gardening, and Brewer's Baseball. Nancy often referred to herself as “ONLY a homemaker”. Such was not the case. Here are just a few examples of her accomplishments. She served as an officer in the PTA, volunteered in the nurse’s room at school, chaperoned fieldtrips, baked for every school party, designed and made Halloween costumes, attended plays and performances and thousands of sporting events. Most of all, she always made her children and grandchildren the center of her world. Although always in our hearts, she will be missed more than words can express. A very special thank you to mom's adopted daughter and caretaker LeeAnn. A Celebration on Nancy’s life will be held later in the month. Donations can be made in Nancy's name to Aurora Zilber Family Hospice and Katy's Closet.
