Mary Ellen Haack (Dix) resident of Greenfield, WI, was born to life in 1940. She lived a long and full life and peacefully went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 12, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Christopher Robert Dix Sr. MD & Evelyn Dix of Elm Grove, WI.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Haack-Hepp of Chandler, AZ and also her sister Jean Seaburg (Dr. Paul-dec.) of Edwardsville, IL, her brother Dr. Christopher Robert Dix Jr. DDS (Dani) of Brookfield, WI, her nephews and nieces, Frank Seaburg (Dyan) of Gilbert, AZ, Becky Sylvester (Ed) of Williams Bay, WI, Christopher Dix III of Milwaukee, WI, Jonathan Dix of Mayville, WI, and Alina Dix-Ricci (Alfredo) of Italy. Mary is survived by many friends from High School, neighbors, fellow parishioners and the multiple families and children she babysat through the years. She volunteered at The Ronald McDonald House in Wauwatosa, WI for 30+ years where she met a lot of other great volunteers, many of whom remained lifelong friends.

Mary was a member of Grace Community Church in West Allis, WI for 40+ years. Mary’s faith was the foundation of her life.

She worked at HM Graphics, Milwaukee, WI, in the bindery where she connected with many great co-workers.

For about 25 years Mary went down to St. Petersburg, Florida to Treasure Island in the Springtime and stayed at the Molloy Motel.

She had the best neighbors that went above and beyond especially as she got older. She appreciated their concern, their help, their kindness and thought of many of them as her extended family. Special thanks to Therese & Dave, Kathy & Tim, June & Greg, Tammy & Ken, Sonny & Tom, Sue & Frank and Mary & Tom. She was happiest in her home, where she was fortunate to live for 55 years.

Mary’s best friend Mary Ellen Anderson, of Muskego, WI, not only shared her first and middle name, they also shared a kindred spirit and really supported each other through their 45+ years of friendship.

Jeannine was not only a best friend to her daughter, Michelle, but was also a friend/surrogate daughter to her and was always there for her.

Mary was always willing to help everyone with rides to the airport, doctor appointments and picking up children she was babysitting. She was famous for making Vietnamese Rolls, Soups, Rum Cakes and scrubbies for dishes. This was her way of spreading love to others.
