Obituary for Martin J. "Marty" Cieslewicz

CUDAHY - Passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022 at the age of 89 years surrounded by his family.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary (nee Burns) and his daughter Kim. Survived by his children; Karen and Lynn (Jason) Blochowicz; his grandchildren Amanda, Ryan (Elizabeth), and Megan (Dan). He was the 10th son of 14 born to Stanley and Clara Cieslewicz. Further survived by his brother Tony and Tommy (Doris), sisters Pat and Clare (Dave), Enid and Terry. There are many nieces and nephews all over the world that will miss him dearly.

Martin is also loved and will be deeply missed by his friends. His best friend, Lowell, and his friends from the Kelly Center (Lee, Deb, Mary Ann, and Richard B.).

Martin was an avid baseball fan and great baseball player. He stated, "He could not go pro because he could not hit the curveball"! He served in the Korean War. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin. He worked for many years at Clark Oil but preferred to work on his flowers at home. In his golden years of his life he worked at M&I Bank as a mail courier for "walking around money". If you know Marty you can always hear him say, "Roses are Red and Violets are Blue"....And you can take it from here.

The family requests that any donations go to the Veterans Hospital of Milwaukee or any veterans organization.

Visitation at Divine Mercy Parish, 800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee, WI on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 10 AM to 11 AM. Funeral Mass 11 AM.
