Obituary for Margaret Ann Ormsby (Haines)

Hers was a life made rich by the family she had grown. Fostered, nurtured and lovingly sang to, as one does a precious garden; Margaret Ormsby raised a family of wildflowers, beautiful children. Each as unique, each as proud and each as loved. Nanny adored her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved them to the ends of her fingertips. She taught kindness by example, excelled in generosity, with an unparalleled wit and pure honest values. She was that which we all strive to be, a standard, an example, a mother we will never forget.

Preceded in Everlasting Peace by her husband, Donald Ormsby. Eternally missed and always cherished by her children Ann (Scott) Olsen, Sue (Mike) Miller, Linda Solati, Lisa (Tim) Ormsby Steinhauer, Patrick (Patricia) Ormsby, Ronald (Amber) Ormsby and Meghan Ormsby. Beloved by her grandchildren: Maria (Cullen), Angela (Patrick), Shahriar (Emily), Nick, Leila, Melissa, Erin (Eric), Molly, Maggie, McKenzie, Jessica, Joseph, Carson, Ian, Roman, Hudson and Lily. Loved by her great grandchildren: Theodore, Isabel, Haley, Madeline, Elizabeth, McCoy, Clara, Anabella and Josephine. Also cherished by close family friend Tommy Scott.

The family will gather to celebrate her life Thursday, October 24th 2019 at St. Monica Parish - 5635 N Santa Monica Blvd, Whitefish Bay, 53217. The Visitation will begin at 4pm followed by a memorial mass at 5pm officiated by Bishop Jeffrey Haines. Reception to follow in Donovan Hall, lower level of the Church. Handicap accessibility to Church and Donovan Hall on the Southernmost end of the back parking lot.

Margaret, Nanny, always loved the children; help us honor her. In Lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to The Family Closet - an organization driven to support and provide to those fostering and adopting children in Wisconsin.
