Obituary for Lois "Lady" Joan Kolp (Anderson)

Lois "Lady" Joan (Anderson) Kolp went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 1st, 2022 at the age of 93 while surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter.

Lady was born on April 26th, 1929, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She was a proud, long-time resident of Greendale since she was 9 years old. Her family was the 8th family to move into Greendale when it opened in 1939. She married her husband, Ray, on May 10th, 1952. Lady retired from the Telephone Company and went on to manage Awe Ski Huts for years. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee where she tutored children of their grade school for many years. A member of the National Ski Patrol at Alpine Valley for 20 years, she loved to ski with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and journeyed to Japan and Russia as well as throughout the United States. She has been living at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin for the last 5 years where she received wonderful care from an extraordinary staff as well as loving care from Heartland Hospice.

Lady is survived by her daughter Katherine and William Hoffmann, granddaughter Carley and Michael Andres, sisters-in-law Katherine Anderson, Cathy Anderson, Carol Redzinski and Carol Kolp, her nieces and nephews Janis Anderson, James Anderson, Mary and Pat Burns, Mike and Jan Kolp, Debbie Kolp, Barb Blumenfield, Pat and Julie Kolp, David and Carla Kolp, Steve and Gina Kolp, Karen and Greg Dudley and many, many dear friends.

Lady was preceded in death by her parents Carley and Lydia Anderson, loving husband Ray, brother Lowell, niece Christy, in-laws Joseph and Anna, sister-in-law Eleanor, brothers-in-law Joe, Harold and Jerome.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on 68th & Forest Home on Friday August 12th, 2022. Visitation starts at 5:00 pm., funeral at 6:00 pm. with burial immediately following at the church's cemetery.
