(Nee Geritz) Age 86. Born into eternal life May 21, 2023.
Preceded in death by her husband John Quick and parents Jacob & Frances (Nee Stein) Geritz.
Loving mother of John "Jake" and Edmund (Kimberly Nault). Beloved grandma of Vivien Quick and Islie Diedrick. Dear sister of Kay Guon, Myrna Bauman and Gordon (Joan) Geritz. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Joanne earned her B.S. from Alverno College (1960) and an M.A. in School Administration from Marquette University (1962).
She was a devoted educator who worked as a teacher and school administrator for over 50 years. Joanne was named the 1983 Wisconsin Home Economics Teacher of the Year and the 2017 Marquette School of Education Distinguished Alumna of the Year. She loved to make quilts for family and friends in her spare time.
Visitation at San Camillo Chapel, 10200 W. Bluemound Rd., Wauwatosa, WI 53226 on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Service 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the St. Camillus Foundation, 10200 W. Bluemound Rd., Wauwatosa, WI 53226.
