Obituary for Helen Nycz Guszkowski (Nycz)
New Berlin - Passed April 6, 2023 at 96 years young.
Beloved wife of the late Eugene Sr. Loving mother of Pattie (Doug) Helmer, Jacki LeMay and son-in-law Gene Jr. (Ann). Loving Busha to Noelle (Danny), Bobby, Courtney (Corey) and Brittnee, along with seven great grandchildren and survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by parents Frank Nycz Sr. and Josephine (nee Gasior), brothers Bruno (Ruby), Wally (Gertie), Edward, Chester (Bonnie), Danny (Joan), Frank Jr. (Betty), Harry, sisters Adeline Wiegand and Delores (Clarence) Wicka.
Helen’s first priority was always her family. They meant everything to her. Helen worked at Allis Chalmers & Usingers. She loved outdoor gardening, yes snow shoveling, and walking at Jackson Park when she wasn’t dancing as often as three times a week.
Helen and Gene took over managing the dance held at Pulaski Inn in Cudahy in the late 90’s. Helen carried it on until 2015. She loved all the people connected to the dance like they were her family.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 22nd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Hartson Funeral Home. Following visitation a Christian Service will take place at the Hartson Funeral Home.
Entombment will take place Monday, April 24th at 11:00 am at the St. Adalbert Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Florian’s Catholic Church appreciated.
