Obituary for Emily Satka (Satka)
Of Milwaukee - Age 87. Was called home to heaven on April 30, 2020. Loving sister of Stanley (Carol) Satka. Further survived by nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leopold & Sophie (nee Dohnonski) Satka; half brother, August Bucek and half sister, Mary Bucek.
Emily attended Poplar Creek Church and was involved in Women's Aglow and Ladies Prayer group. She so appreciated the ministry of Pastor Dave Gall. Emily loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She read her Bible and attended church and Sunday school. After her stroke she loved to have people read the Bible to her.
She resided in California for many years before coming back to Wisconsin. Thru the years she was in close contact with her childhood friends, Gloria Pavelka and Shirley until they passed away. Emily made friends everywhere, even after her stroke. She always acknowledged people and smiled. When she could no longer talk she loved to hum.
Shopping, birthday parties, dining out with friends, and white elephant parties were just a few things that she really enjoyed. He hobbies included stamping cards and doing cross stitch.
Emily will be missed by her family, church family, and close friends: Carol and Allen Garrett, Lany and Art Van Zanten, Chris and Jim Manegold, Donna Carlson and many more friends. Emily and her family appreciated all the help, cards, visits that she received from her church family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 16th from 2:30 to 3:00 PM. A memorial service led by Pastor Dave Gall will be held at 3:00 PM.
