Ellen "McCarthy" Hess
Franklin - Entered eternal life on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the age of 74 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Sylvinus and Doris Hess. Ellen and Ken cared for Doris until her death when she was 90 + years old. Ellen is survived by her loving soulmate Ken McCarthy for over 56 years. Ellen and Ken never had an argument or even talk back to each other in all those years, that is true love and soulmates. Ellen is also survived by her sister Christine Petoskey (James), her nephews Brian (Sue), Craig (Dawn) Petoskey, a niece Tracy Holterman (Joe). Survived by other relatives and friends.
After Ellen graduated she secured a management position at the Penney Corporation. Ellen was a very dedicated employee for over 45 years until she retired. Ellen had a perfect attendance record. Ellen was a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, Al's run, all of Penney picnics and charitable events. Ellen also traveled around the U.S. for the Penney Corporation training management. Ellen enjoyed golfing, bowling, horse back riding, gardening, Christmas, Sunshine, the Packers but most of all Ellen loved being with Ken and traveling with her Kenny around the world and experiencing new adventures with Ken. Ellen will always be remembered as a warm and caring person who always put others first. She loved her Kenny with all her heart.
Visitation at Hartson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community Church, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners at 11 AM. Entombment: Holy Cross Cemetery.
