Obituary for Dr. Ervin Frederick Kuglitsch MD

Physician, veteran, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Ervin Kuglitsch passed away peacefully at home on November 11th, 2022 at the age of 97 after a long life filled with taking care of his family, his country, and his patients. He joins his beloved wife Marion Kuglitsch, who went to eternity earlier in January 2022. The two spent a wonderful 71 years of marriage together.

He will be forever remembered for his wit, humor, and old-school medical knowledge. His legacy will live on through the patients he cared for and the family he inspired to pursue careers in medicine. After diligently serving his country in World War II, he endured not one but TWO residency trainings – first to become a family physician, and then later on for anesthesiology. He helped his wife raise their four children Michael, Susan, Joan, and Mary.

When he wasn’t practicing medicine, he was skiing, sailing, golfing, or doing work around the house. He always looked forward to his days off at Bluemound Golf and Country Club, where he enjoyed the company of numerous friends and got to play the sport he loved most. When at home surrounded by family, he had so many stories to share and lessons to teach. He was knowledgeable not only in medicine, but life itself. He loved rides in the club car around his beautiful property and watching the deer and other wildlife pass through the yard to eat at the feeder. He was passionate about living life to its fullest potential, and encouraged his family to do the same.

He joins wife Marion Kuglitsch, daughter Dr. Joan Kuglitsch, son Dr. Michael Kuglitsch, grandson Samuel Kuglitsch, and six brothers and sisters in Eternal Life. He is survived by sister Hedwig Tomczyk, daughters Dr. Mary Llanas (Ralph Llanas) and Dr. Susan Bonis (Michael Bonis), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
