Obituary for Donald A. Witas

Age 91. Born into eternal life on April 15, 2024.

Don loved music. He played saxophone and clarinet. In 1953, he was in the UW-Madison band that played at the Rose Bowl. For many years, he was in a trio called the Polka Dots. Dixieland jazz was another of his passions. He had an extensive collection of jazz records and travelled to many concerts all over the United States.

Don had a BBA from UW-Madison and an MBA from Marquette University. He spent many years as a marketing executive in the construction industry including managerial positions at Koehring Company, Harnischfeger Corporation and the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA).

For Don, family was his first priority, but he found time for music, travel, skiing and many other interests. He was a friend to many people and was dearly loved by his family.
