Obituary for Danny Gene Shelton
Danny G. Shelton, born November 14, 1950, passed away peaceful on May 25th 2022 at the age of 71 after a brave battle with lung cancer. Danny currently resided in New Berlin, formally of South Milwaukee, WI.
Preceded in death by his parents, Goble & Frances Faye (nee Fox) Shelton, his children Lisa & Danny Jr. Shelton, and his sister Bonnie (Warren) Spottek.
Devoted husband of 46 years, Patty (nee Wood). Cherished Dad of Kristy (Todd) Parisey and Steven (Melissa) Shelton. Adoring Grandpa of Ryan, Brooklyn, Addison, Cameron, Jacob, Gavin, Noah, Rhiannon, and Allison. Loving Brother of Mary (Elmer) Schad, Phyllis (Glen) Porter, Debbie (Mike) Pendergrass, John Shelton, James (Dyan) Shelton, Claudette Shelton. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Danny’s younger years were joyful. He enjoyed beach vacations with his wife, fishing with his children, hunting with family and friends, and his yearly family vacation to Kentucky. Danny loved working on cars and was a dedicated mechanic who owned his own repair shop in St. Francis, Dan’s Auto Repair.
More recently Danny had a love for wildlife, his hobby was feeding the birds and squirrels and watching the deer in the backyard. He also loved sharing lots of cuddles with his dog, Lucy.
Danny’s family extends special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the VA Hospital that took care of Danny in his final days.
Danny’s visitation will be held at Hartson Funeral home on Tuesday, May 31st from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, 11111 West Janesville Road, Hales Corners. The burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 1st at 10:00am.
