Obituary for Brett T. Peterson

Brett Thomas Peterson, 63, entered eternal glory March 30, 2023 with his family by his side, singing songs and ushering him into heaven.

Brett is the only child of Paul and Martha (née Telleen) Peterson. He was born on May 13, 1959 in Fort Knox, KY and baptized as a Child of God on July 7, 1959 in North Dakota. Brett married the love of his life, Trish Williams, on October 17, 1987. Blessed with two daughters, family meant everything to them.

Brett graduated from Del Campo High School, Fair Oaks, CA in 1977. He continued with his college career at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA where, among other activities, he was part of the Mayfest Dance Group. Yes, he was an awesome clogger! He attended UC San Francisco Dental School, graduating in 1985. For over 30 years, he enjoyed a private practice in the Fair Oaks area, loved all of his patients, and provided excellent dentistry. His later career took him to Bronx, NY for a residency in Dental Anesthesia. The Lord led him from New York to eventually Wisconsin, with a few stops in between. With the decline of his health, he retired in August 2022.

Brett was strong in his faith, sharing and witnessing whenever he could. He valued Christian education and supported his daughters in their Lutheran grade school and college educations. Studying God's word was extremely important to Brett. He sang faithfully in church choirs throughout his life. His great sense of humor was always the life of the party, singing Mule Train, rapping the Hallelujah Chorus, or coming up with various parody songs. An avid golfer, one could find Brett on the golf course on his day off and weekends. He shared many trips and travel adventures with his family, cruising and exploring worldwide, from Hawaii to Europe.

Brett is preceded in death by his grandparents, Grant and Alfhild Peterson, Fred and Berniece Telleen. Brett is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Trish, two beautiful daughters, Erika (Kurt) Kleisner and Anika (Scott) Ratzburg, parents, Paul and Martha Peterson, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
