Obituary

Glenn E Wefel b. May 24, 1928 d. April 2, 2020
Beverly L (Moen) Wefel b. September 6, 1934 d. April 4, 2020

Married June 4, 1955 at Garden Homes Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Survived by daughters Karen (Tom) Braun, Corinne (Chris) Feider. Grandchildren Christa (David) Neill, Chelsea (Jason Hetelle) Feider, Cal Feider, Rachel (Mark) McDonald, Jason (Cindy) Braun, Katie (Mike) Goetter, great grandchildren Jacob, Megan, Preston, Alex & Emilia, sister in law Audrey Wefel, brother Rodney (Susan) Moen, many nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents Lorenz Sr. and Katherine Wefel and Edwin and Tena Moen, siblings Lorenz Jr, Richard, Earnest, Adeline, Jeanette, Merlin, Dorothy and Thea.

Bev and Glenn were devout Christians and volunteered many hours at their church, Glenn used his carpentry skills to help with projects and Bev enjoyed decorating and cooking for church functions, helping with Jesus Cares ministries and mission work. They spent their retirement years traveling the country in their camper visiting National parks and spending winter months in Alabama where Glenn perfected his golfing skills. Glenn was a Union carpenter and Miller Brewery retiree, he spent many hours tinkering in his woodwork shop while Bev enjoyed trying new recipes and decorating the home. She made hundreds of Christmas cookies every year and had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in every room of their home. Spending time with family was very important and every holiday and birthday was a reason for a party. We are comforted in the knowledge that they are now free from pain and together in heaven enjoying the angel music in the arms of their Savior. Private interment will be at Graceland Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Corinne, I did not know your mom and dad, reading this I know how loving parents you were blessed with. Please know I am thinking of you with love and prayers. May God wrap you and family in His loving arms to bring His comfort and peace knowing they are singing “I know that my Redeemer lives” with the angels. Jane Boesch (biking friend)🙏❤️

Our heartfelt sympathy to all the family. Glenn and Bev were such a wonderful couple. So glad we had the opportunity to know them, worship with them, and work beside them at church functions. They were true Christian's; letting their lights shine in everything they did. And always with a smile on their faces. So comforting to know they are now at peace with our Lord Jesus.

God's blessings to all,
Bob and Karen Zastrow

Please accept my sincere condolences. Although it's difficult to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back on memories help comfort you tomorrow. Look forward to the wonderful promise when we will meet again that promise is found at John 5:28, 29.
