Beloved wife of Les Klinka for 70 years. Loving Mom to Tom (Melinda) and Gary (Amelia). Further survived by grandchildren: Matthew Klinka, Nicholas (Kristen) Klinka, Trisha (Seth) Gustafson, and Ryan Klinka. She is also survived by her niece, Bonnie Ebert (Klinka) and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wilburt and Selma Ruhland brothers: Eugene (Geraldine) Ruhland, Duane (Doris) Ruhland, and her sister: Janet (Lee) Soles.

Betty was born on July 3, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI to Selma and Wilburt Ruhland. She married the love of her life Les Klinka on July 19, 1952 and they had two sons, Tom and Gary.

She worked in day care and real estate. But her real passion was taking care of her husband and family. When grandchildren came, she loved them unconditionally.

Betty was a life-long member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church and very strong in her faith. At church she was active in the Attic Workshop, some office work, bowling and providing meals for sick congregation members.

Betty enjoyed traveling with Les and the grandkids including cruises. She also enjoyed dancing, playing cards, golfing, and sewing. Over the years she had several dogs whom she loved, Penny, Buttons, Sassy I & II.

A visitation will be held for Betty at Hales Corners Lutheran Church on Monday, March 27 from Noon to 1 pm. Service to follow at 1 PM. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial - Greenfield.

The family would like to thank the Legacy hospice of Betty's Harbor and New Perspectives for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waukesha Humane Society or Hales Corners Lutheran Church-Attic Workshop.
