Obituary for Annette Elizabeth Dahlke (Tews)

Annette Dahlke of Hales Corners was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on December 14, 2022.
Annette was born in Milwaukee on January 29, 1932 to Walter and Bertha (Semmann) Tews. She was baptized and confirmed at Gospel Lutheran church in Milwaukee. Annette was a graduate of Lutheran High School.
In 1951 Annette married Robert Dahlke. They had four daughters; Linda Gnacinski (the late John) Cheryl Palen (Dave), Bonnie Lubniewski (Tom) and Peggy Brown (the late Pat). The family resided in Hales Corners until 1975 when they relocated to Livonia, MI. After retirement the couple enjoyed many years in Hayward, WI, and in their later years returned to southern Wisconsin, living in Muskego.
Annette had always been active in her church and her faith was an example to her family throughout her life. As a lover of animals, Annette enjoyed the companionship her dogs and often volunteered to walk shelter dogs, rescuing two of them. With a talent for drawing, Annette was involved in various artistic endeavors over her life. One of her many gifts to her daughters was the passing down of family traditions, including family recipes for Christmas cookies and sauerbraten that continue to be shared with the younger generations.
In addition to her daughters and sons in law, Annette is survived twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two nephews and her companion dog Sadie. She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, her sister Marion, and sons in law John and Pat.
Per Annette’s request, cremation rights have been accorded. A memorial service will be held January 21, 2023 at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Muskego WI with visitation at 1:00 pm followed by a service at 3:00. Committal will be private.
